The Contre-la-Montre opens the Tour de Gatineau weekend — a test of pure speed and individual effort where riders race solo against the clock through the streets of Gatineau.

With a start and finish in downtown Gatineau, the time trial sets the tone for the entire event. Riders launch at intervals, each giving everything they have on the course with no teammates to hide behind.

At 22.2 km, the course demands both power and precision — an explosive effort that rewards the strongest time trialists in women's professional cycling.

How It Works

The TT Format

Solo Effort
Each rider starts individually at set intervals. No teammates, no drafting — just the rider, the bike, and the clock.

Race the Clock
Riders are timed from start ramp to finish line. The fastest time wins, regardless of when on the course you pass another rider.

The Verdict
Results are announced once all riders have completed the course. The winner is the rider with the lowest elapsed time over 22.2 km.
