🌿 Tour de Gatineau
Eco-Responsibility
Policy
We believe that our eco-responsible actions only take on their full meaning through the involvement of everyone. That is why we actively share our knowledge and make tools available to encourage our partners and the public to adopt best practices.
Our Actions
Our Commitment
Green Brigade
A green brigade oversees waste management across all event sites.
Partnership with Éducation
The organization helps us plan and manage eco-responsible events to minimize our environmental impact.
Responsible Sourcing
We prioritize local suppliers for all our needs.
Waste Reduction at the Source
We take action to reduce waste at the source, including by favouring reusable cups.
Reducing Plastic Waste
Since its first edition, the Tour de Gatineau has favoured canned water through its partnership with Onibi, replacing plastic bottles.
Active Mobility
We encourage the public and our volunteers to travel to the site on foot or by bike to promote active mobility.
Vegetarian Meals
We offer vegetarian meal options to our volunteers to reduce environmental impact and encourage sustainable food choices.
Certification
ÉcoFQSC Silver
In 2026, the Tour de Gatineau continues its commitment to sustainable development by obtaining the ÉcoFQSC Silver certification from the FQSC's eco-responsible events charter. This recognition reflects the concrete actions put in place to reduce the event's environmental footprint and promote more responsible practices.
